What is the purpose of this trip meter and who is it for?

The rally computer is used to measure and display the distance covered and other parameters important for the rally co-driver. It is designed to support the co-driver/crew in measuring distance covered and navigating with a roadbook, enabling quick distance corrections for deviations or errors on the route. The rally computer is suitable for both beginners and more experienced users.

The iTrip Classic Trip Meter offers the following features:

driving according to the roadbook
calibrating to distances provided in the roadbook and adjusting to the length of the organizer’s calibration section
adjusting measured distances through distance correction
tracking vehicle speed
monitoring supply voltage and, consequently, the voltage in the car’s electrical system

How is distance measurement performed?

Measurement can be performed:

  • Via a built-in GPS module (in the GPS version)

The rally computer features independent calibration for sensors and independent calibration for GPS.

Tripmeter Construction.

The rally computer is designed for use in rally cars. The housing is made of 1.5mm thick steel sheet and a plastic body. The housing has 2 mounting points.

The electronics are resistant to interference and overvoltages. At the heart of the rally computer is an Atmel processor and a GPS module from the Swiss company uBlox.

Data is displayed on red LED displays. The buttons are backlit.
